Vocational training school at Pforzheim in colourful facing concrete
The soccer world championship is being hosted by South Africa and, along with several buildings, football fans throughout Germany are displaying the national team colours. The Alfons Kern vocational school building in the centre of Pforzheim – just recently erected within the scope of a Public Private Partnership Project (PPP) – stands resplendent in the national "Black Red Gold" colours generated by a special coloured curtain façade made from concrete elements. The first three buildings were able to be completed last year and the work on the fourth complex has reached its final stage. At the current time, the last concrete construction components are being mounted on the façade.
