Just recently, prizes could be still won with the opus C quiz. Now, our pub- lication has itself been awarded a prize. For its outstanding and innova- tive design, – the "Extra" house number made in concrete by Korn Produkte - it was honoured in one of the most prestigious design contests. Within the context of the red dot award for product design 2010, the "Extra" house number made in concrete was awarded the "red dot quality seal" for excellent design quality.

Prize giving will take place in July 2010 in the Aalto Theatre of the Opera House, Essen (Germany). More than 1,000 guests are expected. In Essen, the European Culture Capital 2010, the "Extra" house number concrete product can subsequently be viewed in a special four-week exhibition in the red dot design museum at the Zeche Zollverein world heritage site. "All products that receive the red dot design award must be able to convince a jury made up of international experts. These products stand out above the broad mass by dint of their outstanding design and innovative approaches and have been able to give proof of their quality in one of the hardest design contests in the world," said Professor Dr. Peter Zec, design expert and initiator of the red dot design award. This year, a total of 4,252 products took part in the contest from designers and companies in 57 nations.
